Camplife

  • This elegant and intimate, unfenced camp, with a central tented bar and lounge area, and splash pool, will provide you with the perfect relaxation space between your game viewing, sight seeing and general awe-inspiring experience here in Gorongosa.
  • Each tent has it’s own private access and viewing deck in which to relax and bird-watch or keep a sharp eye out for our resident troop of ever-shy Samango Monkeys.
  • The enormous king size bed, luxuriously wrapped in soft, cool linen, is the most comfortable place to ease your weary body after the adventurous days exploring the park, under the protection of our oversized mosquito nets, with the fan gently caressing your body in the hot summer nights.
  • The ensuite, enclosed bathroom, within the tent means that there is no need to step outside during the night time when nature calls. Expertly designed to have all the amenities within easy grasp, makes the tents at Muzimu Tented Camp extremely comfortable and relaxing, in an outstanding setting.
  • Join at the bar for pre-dinner cocktails, expertly made by Muzimu Tented Camps’ talented barman and relive the days’ highlights. Take a stroll down to the firepit with your cocktail to plot and plan the following day’s adventures.
  • Summoned by the beating drums to the elegantly set grand dining table with fellow guests, that have now become friends through your shared experiences or perhaps you opted for a private table under the stars on the elaborate main deck instead, alongside the dancing bonfire or even more privately on the deck of your tent.
  • Tantalise your taste buds throughout the day at camp. The delights begin with your early morning wake-up call with piping hot coffee and freshly baked goods; full English breakfast in the bush or even on the camp deck; crispy fresh salads and baked bread are lunch time favorites; not to mention high tea just before afternoon drives, where some of the infamous Portuguese inspired pastries await! The highlight of the culinary adventure is dinner, where stunningly simple, Mozambican meals are expertly prepared and presented for the normal jovial dinner atmosphere at the grand table.
  • There is a small curio shop located in just behind the dining tent, as well as a WC for convenience.
